A table shared. A community together.
On 14 February 2026, the Rotary Club of Abacus Hong Kong held a charity poon choi banquet at Shun Tin Estate, bringing older residents together ahead of Lunar New Year. The fund supported this community gathering on Valentine’s Day.
The banquet formed part of the Rotary club’s Shun Tin Estate intergenerational inclusion programme. In its second year, the programme also arranged services such as complimentary haircuts for older people, creating different ways for generations to connect.
Photographs from Shun Tin Square capture residents sharing poon choi, a lion dance, dance performances and the giving of flowers. From the communal tables to the stage photographs, they preserve a day spent together.
